It tends to sound like a Japanese cows arse. Now if you isten to Scottish Gaelic and that in Donegal it has a softer sound .....otherwise I think they turning Japanese....they turning Japanese I really think so. Now if they were serious about speaking Gaelic they wouldn't be so careless and thoughtless in presenting it coherently. When I came I thought I'll learn it but it sounds awful. It has no softness and nothing mellow. It sounds more like a bloke attacking you with karate. Really unpleasant to the ear.

That is how I would have pronounced it. With an L not an I. As confusing Irish can be 😁

I saw their movie! It finally came to the states, and it was absolutely amazing! I actually discovered Kneecap through a video documentary. I haven't been able to find the video again but I remember them interviewing Kneecap. Since I listen to so many different great Irish bands I thought I'd give them a listen and I ended up loving their music. I'm an American of Irish decent on both sides of my family. I don't speak Gaeilge nor do any of my immediate family, but I hope that one day I will be the first to learn so I can pass it onto the future generation and keep our culture alive in America.

Very excited for this. Manchán Magan's books about irish and Hozier's songs about it have been super inspiring to me, and I'm sure this will as well. While grammar and all that is important, what keeps language alive is our love for it and our knowledge of its unique importance.
